A permit is needed for any skip sited on Public Highways, pavements, grass verges, parking bays and but not limited to council car parks, but don’t worry we can organise the permit for you.
The permit is issued by the highway’s authority. The length the permit is issued for will differ between different authorities mainly being between 7 and 14 days.
Skips must be at least 20 meters from a junction, cannot be sited in any restricted parking area, on double yellows lines, near roundabouts, traffic lights, zebra crossings or obstructing any footway.
