Introducing our Walking floor trailer

A walking floor lorry (or moving floor trailer) is a specialized HGV with a hydraulically powered, slatted floor that moves back and forth to self-unload bulk cargo.

Designed for efficiency and safety, they eliminate the need for tipping, allowing for safe discharge on uneven ground or in low-ceiling warehouses.

Walking floors do not need to raise the trailer body, so they can unload inside buildings with low roofs, warehouses, or waste processing facilities

Bulk haulage means fewer journeys are needed to move the same amount of waste.

Artic walking floors can carry large volumes of light waste such as household (municipal) waste, recyclables, or wood waste.

Adding this trailer to the AB waste disposal fleet means that once a skip has been collected by our trucks, then processed at our waste transfer station, it can then be compacted or bulk loaded into the walking trailer to be taken to the final processing/disposal facility more efficiently and economically.

We are greatly aware of our responsibility to reduce our ‘carbon footprint’ and help with the countries recycling future. The investment we have made provides extra confidence to our customers that the waste is getting the best treatment whether it is at pre-sorting stage or at the final process.

At present we recycle and recover the largest variety of waste within the area and with the new improved transfer/recycling station and our increased fleet, we can confidently say that we are the biggest and the best!
